The database schema for something that hasn't even been implemented yet
in snort should certainly not be constrained by the limitations of one
database. It is better to not worry about ipv6 than to get locked into a
bad approach.

I agree with Mike

We should try to design a portable/flexible system as much as we can, if something new is implemented in snort then a good system will handle it easy enough (i hope :).

As soon as we have the plugin I will start working on the templating, but I'm not sure which branch should I take, currently the work is done over the "official" branch, shouldn't we be starting from scratch to be able to design it better ?
