Trusted Network Connect Client

Charles Fisher

Trusted Network Connect Client (TNCC)

TNCC acts as an interface between the [Integrity Measurement Collector] (IMC) and the [hostimserver]. It moves the commands from the hostimserver to IMC using named pipes. It will translate the single request for an Integrity Measurement Report (IMR) into the sequence of calls that are requied to have IMC generate the report.

This module implements a subset of the messages defined by the Trusted Computing Group's (TCG) IF-IMC specification for communication with IMC and a subset of the messages defined by the TCG IF-TNCCS for communication with hostimserver.

This module is delivered as a source RPM, which will produce a single binary RPM. This in turn produces a single program that will be invoked by hostimserver when a request for an IMR is received. This program is dependent only on the [TCG Interface Library] (TIL) for defining the format of the messages that flow between IMC, hostimserver, and TNCC, and for defining the routines used for the named pipe communication.
