#46 help me with "syntax error for bit"

I am amir
I use your M-IDE51 that use your c compiler
I have problem in use this syntax:
bit k;
when i try to compile this command the compiler
report me "syntax error for bit"
please say me what must i do?

    Hi Amir,

    You must not file a bug report if you have not discovered a
    bug ;-)
    Better use the user mailing list or file a Support Request
    for questions like these. And please use a more descriptive
    summary than "help me".

    For the record: M-IDE51 is not ours.
    Please state which version of SDCC you're using.
    Also tell us what command line parameters you (or the IDE)
    used.

    You can try:
    __bit k;
    or use option --std-sdcc99 to enable the bit keyword in
    recent versions of SDCC.
