I'm remembering a board with incircuit reprogrammable flash. The trick was
to have two ROMs, one holding the bootloader and one with the flash. If I
remember correct the trick was a port pin driving a flipflop toggling
between these two states (enabling/disabling different chips). He was
setting the flipflop and performing a reset (I think with the same line).
Therefore after a rising edge (depending on the flipflop) the loaded program
or the boot loader. The only thing you have to take care of is the correct
programming of the flash (timing, voltages,...)
