Hi, I am trying to download the latest version (ver 2.3.1) of sdcc for PC Win32. I have been to sites below. They are for Unix and the type of zip files are tar. Can somebody direct me to the correct site please. The latest I can see is 20020315, without e.g. sdcc(.exe) in /bin. Just another question: where/how can I download the source for v2.3.1, if there's no cvs (and network itself) on machine where I should build and use it. My Win32-Version started with sdcc -v says SDCC : mcs51/gbz80/z80/avr/ds390/pic14/TININative/xa51 2.3.1 (Mar 14 2002) (UNIX) Matthias Weißer mat...@ma... http://www.matwei.de |

Sorry, I don't understand your problem. May be my english is too bad. Could you please elaborate? If you don't like my reply, I'm interested in your answer to Aurelien's question. Bernhard |

Reza, Most of the recent versions of pkzip, winzip, etc, will be able to unpack tar files. It would be nice if we updated sdcc scripts that generate the win pkgs to zip them up instead of taring just because win-users are more used to zip files(A TAR FILE, THE HORROR OF IT ALL!) Sorry, couldn't help but put some rye humor in there... cheers, Karl. Reza Shirali wrote: > > Hi, > I am trying to download the latest version (ver 2.3.1) of sdcc for PC Win32. Thanks to this great piece of software I don't care about tar, gzip, zip, bzip2, arj, lha, rar, uc2, ace and even rpm. And it's not only a shell for archiver/packer. http://www.ghisler.com/index.htm Bernhard |
