I just downloaded the SDCC version 2.1.9Ga source code. I had the same
problem with the SDCC version 2.2.0a source code.
I follow the installation procedure, as described in the /doc
directory. So I type:
* ./configure --prefix=/usr/local
* make install
Normally it should work, but it doesn't! It seems that in both the
versions the SDCC executable wasn't made! The rest is compiled, except
for SDCC. I noticed a message during compiling, something that the
compiler needs SDDCy.c and not SDCC.y . I'm not sure, but it's the same
error in the both versions.
I am using RedHat 6.0...
Can someone help me in compiling this whole thing??

Install bison. It will make SDCC.c from SDCC.y
BTW, I think it would be good idea to include SDCC.c in the
distribution, so bison will not be needed.
