I'm assuming you mean that sdcc compiler itself is crashing and
not the generated MCS51 code.
Are there any useful messages that pop out when it crashes that
might point to an area in the sdcc code?
Heres some suggestions:
* try the latest and greatest un-released software to see if it
makes the problem go away. There have been a number of bug
fixes lately, and the last release is getting old. I've got
compiled win32 bins at home I could send or post for you if
you didn't feel like trying to compile the thing.
* you could troubleshoot further by "#if 0" out
portions of the function you mention, to see if there is a
particular line(s) that is causing the crash.
* you could try turning off some of the optimizations with
command line switches.
