Just as an example of what SDCC can do for YOU, I comitted my preliminary
port of the DALLAS pd ow software.
If you compare the sources with their originals you while find ashtonishing
little diff's. It is mainly a hack of the args/argv parameters for main and
the change of printf ("%d", (long)) to printf (%ld, (long)) (NO Kevin,
please don't), and a cleanup of their rediculous, asking for bugs, way of
declaring global functions and variables.
I changed as little as possible just for the example, but that doesn't mean
I wouldn't like to tweak it to be more efficient and less error prone (in
fact I have done that already for my own purposes).
Of course I had to threw in a tinilnk.c based on tinibios.
The makefile goes as far as it goes, right now it stops at tstow.hex because
I don't have all the devices that it needs to properly test it.
I removed the internal ow readmac example for now, but it will come back.
The thermdl example code crosses the 64K boundary, which tinitalk (not
comitted yet) can handle, but JavaKit chockes on it.
There is still a problem in owsesu.c (although it doesn't harm if you don't
change it) that I will discuss with Kevin.
