I'm not sure this is the appropriate place to ask for this, but I'd suggest you consider searching for UltraMon51.  Though it only communicates with the console via its main serial port, it does provide a built-in assembler, disassembler, and the means to invoke code to test any peripheral, provided you "vonNeuman-ize" the memory, thereby combining both code and data space.  I've found this quite useful.  Be sure to read the accompanying documentation, however.
