I need to investigate GNU - USRP software and i need SDCC in that objective.
I use Ubuntu OS and Intel system.

1. I followed the website  "http://sdcc.sourceforge.net/index.php#Download "
and used the SVN command svn co https://sdcc.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/sdcc/trunk/sdcc sdcc.

SVN details:

SDCC : mcs51/gbz80/z80/avr/ds390/pic16/pic14/TININative/xa51/ds400/hc08 2.7.0 #4818 (Jan 18 2008) (UNIX)

2. I followed the Build Instruction as per "http://ossie.wireless.vt.edu/trac/wiki/USRP".
./configure is failing with the following message that i don't have flex utility.

checking for flex... no
checking for lex... no
checking for bison... bison -y

configure: error: Cannot find required program flex

I tried to install flex from various sources without success for Ubuntu. Please can you help me out on how to get "flex" right version and right procedure to successfully build SDCC and thus USRP.
