It would be useful to create a block of bytes pre-filled with value by doing this:
.ds 100, 0xC8 ; Fill 100 bytes with value 'C8' .dw 100, 0xCAFE ; Fill 100 words (200 bytes) with value 0xCAFE
.byte, .word, etc.. could also be extended to include this (using something other than ',' to mark repetition rather than expr list), e.g.:
.byte 0xB0 : 100 ; Fill 100 bytes with value 'B0' .word 0xBADD : 100 ; Fill 100 words (200 bytes) with value 0xBADD
In theory, .rept could be used to do this as well, but I can't get this to work, and one of the above constructs would be easier to read anyway (especially in .LST files if the repeat count is high).
