The CC2530 is a SoC that include a 8051 CPU and a ZigBee radio interface.
The development system is very expensive (2000 €+VAT) and I wonder if it would be complex to port SDCC to this 8051+ZigBee SoC. It would be quiet usefull and appreciate.
Is it a big job for a team or a small one for a single programmer ?
Or is it unrealistic ?
That depends on what you want and what the CC2530 has to offer. If you just want to compile programs for it then an appropriate header file with sfr definitions should do. If it also has In-System-Debugging capabilities that you like to use then it gets a lot bigger.
I have designed a zigbee coordinator and end device using ti CC2531 and CC2530 soc respectively. I have no idea as to how to program it for a simple asset management application. please help.
