Hi since I could not find a downloader-application (loke the one which was provided by TI for WINDOWS with the CD) for linux, I now wrote one and just got it working.
So now, WINDOWS is not necessary any more for developing for the MSC1210.
Any interest? Where should I put the code?

      Hi Markus,

You could put the code on your personal website.
Or you could create your own sourceforge project.
Or you could put it on www.8052.com.
Or you can send it to the SDCC OKR.

And you can ask us to link to it.

      Hi,

      I put it here:

      http://cips02.physik.uni-bonn.de/~hoffmann/TI-downloader-1.00-1.zip

please take it from there and put it at some different location if you like it.

      any comments are welcome.

      Markus,

May I recommend you to at least create a webpage for it with a description.
Then link to it from your homepage and post a webdoc request here to add the link.
This way others searching for something like this may actually find it.

If it also works for other mcu's (MSC1215?) mention it.

Unfortunately I have no MSC1210 so I cannot test it.

      Marteen,

the project is too small to create an extra page for it. I am not going to do this.
I dont know if it also works for other microcontrollers, since I could only test it with the 1210s evaluation board so far. This at least has a 1211 on it. I am pretty sure that it also works with the whole series. Just frequency setting etc. may need to be adjusted. Thats why I post it: to get feedback from others.
