Is this a regular official translation, or a fan made translation?

Did you try recopying the data files from your CD?
This bug is nice to get fixed before the release. Raising priority for keeping the track.

I was allowed to take look at this game by the submitter. A couple of things are a bit weird. First one is the absence of a way to start the game. And the other thing is that descumm.exe is in the same directory. It looks to me that this just can't be the original game.
It looks more like some hacked version or a fan-made translation (but a pretty good one).
Lowering priority.
The problem is in absent codepath of non-compressed sounds.
