The forward beckoning hand hotspot (shortcut to the library) does not appear on the pool table in the game room.

Should there be two shortcuts on the pool table? There is a shortcut to the kitchen, which is indicated by the chattering teeth. I'll go and check in the original interpreter...

Two? I can't even get one, it should only be the tunnel through one of the pool sockets (I don't know what they're called).

Ah you're right, it doesn't go to the library but for some reason the chattering teeth still don't show up in a normal playthrough. It shows up and works in open house but it won't work when you're playing the game normally and finish the queens puzzle for the first time.

OK. It strikes me that this is a game playing decision, rather than a definite script bug. I.e. it makes it easier to navigate the house quickly once you're in open house mode, but doesn't allow it until then. Either way I'm going to close this and add it to the script bugs wiki page:
