In a couple of days (literally, it will be on Friday), I am going to
release version 0.3.13 of scrollkeeper. This is partly because we have
done a lot of work recently fixing bugs and merging patches and partly
out of self defense. Every man and their goldfish is trying to build on
Solaris at the moment and is discovering that it doesn't work. That bug
is being reported about once a day recently, so I want it to stop.
So, in order to save me from messing up, can any kind people who are not
running Red Hat Linux and who have a couple of spare minutes try to
build what is in CVS at sourceforge. Just post a quick note back here if
it all works, or let me know what exploded.
I *think* we are fine, since I have been a lot more careful lately, plus
half the recent patches have come from Sun, where they have already been
reviewed and tested (and hopefully compiled). But it would not hurt to
make sure.
There is a much longer mail coming after the release with some areas
that still need working on, but it would not be too surprising if 0.3.14
follows 0.3.13 fairly quickly with some more bug-fixes, etc.
Cheers,
Malcolm
