Shell script messages are not localized as automatic extraction is not possible in them. I talked to Kenneth, he says message markup and addition to the .po file has to be written by hand.
Hmmm ... this is officially a Hard Problem(tm) mostly
because of the variety of shells we have to work with. It is
important to fix it, but it is going to involve rewriting
portions of every shell script, so it goes on the "not quite
yet" pile for now.
