I made myself a little more familiar with the script interfaces. I am now even more fond of ScriptCommunicator. It is just all I ever wanted in a serial terminal program.
I have written two simple scripts to begin with.
The first displays all received characters as dec and hex and if it is a non printable character it also displays the abbreviated name as well as an UTF-8 representation of it's value.
The second is just a little test script I needed that periodically sends the date, time and a incremented serial number.
Nice scripts. But you should have a look at the GUI feature. This is (in my opinion) the best feature of the (worker) script interface. You can find several examples under exampleScripts\WorkerScripts.
Best regards,
Stefan

;-) Yeah, I removed all the GUI stuff (for now).
For the test script I really needed only a simple, stupid script to push out some dummy data in a specific format.
But I see the possibilities of using a GUI. It would even be possible to deliver ScriptCommunicator with a custom script GUI to just fulfill one task for not so tech savvy customers.
I'm, loving it :-)
