hello. I am looking at various sw packages and SC seems to be the one I favour. I have down loaded Dataflex on the new (to me) mini pc (ACEPC). Next I tried SC.. unzipped ok but the setup refused to load, 'access denied'.
tried a second download. same thing, changed the target folder, same thing.
I now suspect it is the (x86).
As I'm getting on and not done much for the last 20 years, I could done with a hint or two.
The project is detailed monitoring of two ground source heating loops which I am overseeing the installation in my garden. The temperature sensors are 12bit resolution every few meters. However they are I2C. Each is potted in a small box with a Pic which , when addressed, transmits and receives RS232 level signals at 1200 baud. I want the SC to be the hub and I think it could present the data without invoking another package.
There are other aspects which require control. BUT I can't load it to find out, or even read a manual !!
The last time I used an os was DRDOS, and Windows XP. So I could do with some help.
