I am running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and the 64Bit version of ScriptCommunicator 05.05. I have the following bug in the script editor:
every line of text seems to be overlapping the next line by about 50%.
only if zoom out until the font size is 3 does the formatting apear to improve. but then it is far too small to read. The same is true if the font size is 17 or higher. but then it is too large to read comfortably. The actual font used doesn not matter.
PS: I have installed 16.04 LTS in a virtual machine (vmware player 12) and everthing works fine. What is your system language and the resolution of your monitor?
I have tested all 3 versions and have the following results:
1: loads but has same overlapping bug as originally described. however changing font to any size fixes the issue, even going back to the original font size when source code was loaded.
interestingly: when saving, the file reloads with the overlapping text bug. regardless of set font size.
2: same as 1.
3: bug remains permanently. regardless of font size
Thanks very much for the help. I will use version 1 of the 3 versions you supplied until the bug can be tracked down. This will already help me a lot.

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
I think the problem was that the margin (line numbers) had a different font then the text. But this is a little bit weird and I never saw this behavior. Can you do a final test with the attached file please (just to be sure)?

can this bug be confirmed?
Hi,
I have testet the editor on several systems (MacOs X, Windows 7, Windows 10 and Kubuntu) and I never saw this behavior.
What happens if you set the font to Courier New?
Best regards,
Stefan

that seems to have done it. Version 4 doesn't show any signs of display problems.
thank you very much! your software has proven to be very useful!
out of curiosity, what was the problem?
