My ISP doesn't allow passive ftp to upload my site. As this is a
hardcoded behaviour in screem I want to turn it into an option that
will be settable in the site preferences.
If anybody is already working on the same issue please send me a
note to avoid duplicate development.

There are quite a few options for uploading that are not currently exported
into the user interface. I'm not sure if you already know the source well,
but plugins/uploadWizard.c, lines 637 -> 650 are where some of the hard
coded options reside. They could all be configurable if someone adds the
necessary GUI code.
I should have added them into site preferences when sitecopy functionality
got integrated into screem, but it was a lack of time that prevented it.
Checkout sitecopy (www.lyra.org/sitecopy) if the options aren't obvious and
you're interested in integrating any of them.

I intend rewriting the uploadWizard as soon as sitecopy can be compiled with
libxml (rather than requiring expat).
This shouldn't be _too_ far in the future, but knowing the `release dates'
of free software projects, it could turn out to be ages, so go for it.
