Is there way to force all .html files to be treated as .php files?
I like the code highlighting that it offers but I like to keep my extensions as .html so users don't know what scripting language I use.
Screem uses gtksourceview as the editor.
The highlighting files are kept in $prefix/share/gtksourceview-1.0/language-specs or user specific ones are read from ~/.gnome2/gtksourceview-1.0/language-specs
if you take a look at one of these XML files you will see a mimetypes="" attribute on the <language> tag. This is a semicolon ";" separated list. so you could change the text/html in html.lang to be something else and add ;text/html to php.lang
