#38 v0.20 - cannot equip to main character

Main character is a scholar, and starts with a quarterstaff. If I drag the staff to the inventory, and then try to drag it back I get the error "cannot equip this item". Get the same error for all items with the main character - so you cannot equip anything at all! Other characters seem fine tho.
