This is the final release from Sciret 2.0.0. Many parts of Sciret are complete rewritten. We introduced a new concept of navigation which will make Sciret more useful with many categories. Anti Spam is included and also uploads can be checked for Viruses. Many other functions are added but best you found it out yourself.

The problem in the RC4 of Sciret happen only for Opera users. When you don't use Opera you can use the RC4 from Sciret.

Opera user must wait for the next release of Sciret.

After some good feedback which we receive we hope that this is now the final release candidate before 2.0.0 stable release.

This is the final release candidate from Sciret. The next release will be 2.0 stable. In this release only a minor bug was fixed.

This release will be the last release under the LGPL license. The stable release from Sciret will be released under the BSD license.

This Sciret release is the first and possible last release candidate of Sciret. The release is the first release under the new flag of the Keyboard Monkeys. It should be ready for production. Before you upgrade to this release please make a backup of your MySQL database and the Sciret folder.

Support for Internet Explorer 6 and Opera is added to this release. Several bugs are fixed.

The Sciret project moved to a new home at http://source.Keyboard-Monkeys.org. File downloads will be longer available form the SF site, but the SVN repositority, Bug tracker and forums will move to the new URL.

The changes are:

- Zend Framework is now used.
- File uploads are scanned for Viruses
- Sciret support RSS feeds now for categories
- To scan articles for SPAM, user can choose to use between
Akismet, TypePad AntiSpam or Bad-Behavior
- Sciret have a enhanced navigation and usability
- A report article function allow to inform the administrators
regarding non compliant content
- Support for social bookmarks like digg ...
- added ability for users to register for an account
- Questions can be disabled in the admin section

We will release soon a new testing release of Sciret 2.0. This is a major release and it is not ready for production. Please help to test.

Sciret is still alive and when you monitor the SVN you will have notified that we introduce a lot of major changes.

The next generation of Sciret will have a complete new UI design and will also simplify the usage.

We also move to the Zend framework with Sciret.

New functions will be included like RSS feeds as example.

We hope to announce a new Scirt version asap.

The Sciret team published the stable version of Sciret 1.2.0 with much new interesting features and new languages today.
The release is running in production and should be stable enough for public use.
Before you install the new version of Sciret, please make backup. You will find more Information in DOCS "Sciret install howto" on the Sciret website.

* Add SF patch 1778378 from Trond Viggo Håpnes. This patch
Restrict the possibility to modify and delete articles.
* Added explanatory message to error list
* Add SF patch 1771482 from Trond Viggo Håpnes. This patch
will let the administrator decide if new articles should
be marked for internal or public use. Only the
administrator can change status on an article from
internal to public. You can not email an article marked
for internal use only.
* Add SF patch 1762272 from Rune Hammersland. This patch
enables the admin to choose between sending e-mails
through sendmail or through an SMTP server of his
choosing. The admin can also choose the name and address
used when sending e-mails.
* Added functionality to expire passwords and oblige users
to change them when that happens
* Add SF patch 1765899 from Trond Viggo Håpnes. This patch
removes the mail-link from ViewArticle if the article is
marked for internal use only
* Add Italian translation from two students
* Add XCache to the Sciret documentation. OpenBSD howto is
still missing with xcache
* Let registered users edit their own profile.
* Be able to decide whether the KB is public or not (set by
the admin, in the preferences section)
* Fixed a typing error in EditArticle.tpl
* When an article was made to answer a question, show the
question text between the title and the article excerpt in
the list view, and between the title and the category in
the article detail view. Also, when an article that
answers a question is shown on the list view, use a
question mark as an icon, instead of the sheet icon
currently used.

The file are sorted and extended.

Sciret is a advanced knowledge based system. In the further development, Sciret will be extended to a full helpdesk system which will be include also a trouble ticket system, document management, bookmark management and more.

The language pack can be installed in you stable Sciret. You only need to install the language pack when you want use the translation now. Otherwise you can also wait for the next stable release.... read more

The last changes, bugfix and testing of Sciret RC3 had finalized. The Sciret team published today the stable version of Sciret 1.1.0 with much new interesting features and new languages. The release is running in production and should be stable enough for public use.

The documentation was enhanced about some tip.

The documentation shall help you with PHP, MySQL and Sciret installation/configuration on OpenBSD system.

This packages offer to install a different icon set as it is used in the default installation from Sciret. Just unpack the icons in the directory upload/icons after you delete the old ones.

The last stable language package from Sciret is often outdated as we receive more and more translations after a release is done. For this reason we will build from now on separate language packs which allow you to install the latest language set on you system.
