It would be awesome if SciTE could actually /copy/ data as HTML/RTF/etc., rather than forcing an export. That way I can post something into an email without needing to save to a new file, copy the data, and delete the file every time.

SciTE on Windows does have a "Copy as RTF" command. It is not implemented on GTK+ due to the complexity of the GTK+ clipboard API.

I didn't know about that command, but it doesn't work for when I actually need it, i.e. pasting into a web page (e.g. Gmail).

Would it be possible for you to add a Copy as HTML command?

There is more scope in HTML for different approaches. The current Export as HTML code tries to produce HTML that can be manipulated by changing the CSS but for copy and paste it would probably want to be simpler and avoid named styles. I won't be working on this.
