#365 Option to load recent session when a file is opened

Hi there,

When Scite is not running, it would be really nice if
Scite would also restore the recent session while
opening a file.

ATM the recent session is lost when Scite is closed
and you open a file for edit (e.g. from a file
manager). The session is only restored when Scite is
opened first.

Or am I missing some hidden option?

Best regards,

I don't work on session support.

Ouch nyamatongwe, that sounded pretty harsh. The idea
sounds like a good one to me. Doesn't sound hard to do
either. When Scite is closed, write down the full path and
file name of current open files. When Scite is opened read
the list and open. If file not exist, skip. Please
reconsider or put as low priority.

Any reason why not? Your answer sounds like this is a job
for someone else. Or you just don't want to tackle it.
    Whatever, I'll respect your decision.

Remembering the currently open files is what save.recent and
save.session do: it is not what this feature request asked
for which is for the session to be restored even when a
    particular file is being opened.
The session code was written by various people over time
with no clear design. There are problems with it and I don't
use it so I'm not interested in working on it and won't be
accepting additions that makes it more complex unless
someone wants to do the job properly.

To clarify things a little bit:

The true issue is, that the recent files get lost when scite
is closed and another file is opened from a file manager. It
would therefore be great if one could circumvent that so,
that the recent files are restored first and the new file is
    added to a new buffer.

Sorry if I mixed up terms in my first post. It would be nice
if this is possible without session management.

    Best regards,
