Currently, entering a known function name as from an
api file. Then typing the 1st open brace, is set to popup
a Calltip. Now the end defintion is the close brace. Then
the description follows, which in some cases can be
very long. The function is in the first line of the Calltip,
and the description is in the second line.
Now the problem is that because the description can be
so long. It goes off screen. So the description can not
be read beyond a point.
I have combed the property files and help guide for an
option that may help. None found. If an option is
available, then I would appreciate this knowledge.
Otherwise, I would like to request for multiline support
for descriptions in Calltips. I would consider a setting,
like a cut off point of so many chars per line, user
selectable length of cause.

Example new type of Calltip:
------------------------------------
Function()
1st line of description.....
2nd line of description.....
etc.
-------------------------------------

Many thanks for any help. :)
I'm just registered, but suffering logon issues. :(

Scintilla can handle multiline calltips by embedding newline
characters but SciTE has no way to invoke this. There are
two things you may want. One is to insert explicit line ends
into the API file which is the best way to do this when the
source of the information has separations and the other is
automatic based on line length. I will accept a well-written
patch that adds an optional line length limit.

From the 2 options that you mention. Either or both would be
    acceptable.
Option 1 would have good presentation as the final result,
    explicit line ends.
Option 2 would be easier to create the API file each time.
Both, if possible, would give option for best of 1 and 2.

    Thankyou. :)
