I would like to see some functionality like iconv provides, meaning similar to the "Convert Line Ending" menu item some "Convert Encoding" menu item, to convert e.g. ISO 8859-15 documents to UTF-8 with or without BOM.
Use iconv (possibly by defining a command for the Tools menu) or copy and paste from an 8859-15 file into a new UTF-8 one.
SciTE should not duplicate operating system provided functionality without strong benefits.
