When I start up sc1.exe (version 1.76) under Windows XP SP2 with the Windows task bar positioned on the left side of the display, Scite places its main window all the way to the left side of the display so that its left side is hidden underneath the task bar.

Would it be possible to have Scite's initial window placement use the default Windows algorithm, which might solve the problem?

I am using the Microsoft Zune theme, if that matters. I attach a screen shot of the initial window placement.

Set position.left and position.top. While these values could be relative to the desktop area its not something that is likely to be worked on.

Thanks for the suggestion about position.left and position.top. Much better now. Too bad it has to have a fixed position rather than using the standard window placement algorithms that make better use of the desktop. But in any case, thanks for the great tool!
