SciTE 3.53 doesn't work on Windows XP due to the operating system version and subsystem version fields in the EXE header being 6.00 (Vista) instead of 5.01 as in prior versions or at most 5.10 (XP).
Verified working on XP with the rebuilt executable. Note the Visual C 2010 executable is also a bit smaller so the later versions of Visual Studio add no value whatsoever.
