#1052 ASM lexer comment bug

There is a small bug with the ASM lexer comment. If I type a colon followed by a \ and then a new line, the line would be commented. Like:

;\ ABC

ABC would appear commented, when it shouldn't be. However, it works fine if I use / instead of \.

Additionally, this is not a bug, but can anyone help me set up folding for ASM? I have the ASM lexer .cxx file and was thinking to paste and modify the folding code from other lexers, but I'm not sure how I would do that. Help would be nice.

I got a private query from the poster of this ticket, but my reply bounced, so I'll babble here...

We usually cut-and-paste as much as we can. You can find a similar syntax to copy from. My first pick would be one of those BASIC lexers, for tick (') comments, see if they do any folding. Many lexers can fold comments, so I think there are lots of examples. Also enable the debugging fold flags.

The backslash is NASM syntax. I think it was contributed as a NASM lexer. Non-NASM users should just avoid this corner case, which should be pretty easy to do.

Modifications for particular languages comes from those with some interest in the language. I will not be working on this myself.

David, try clicking "Add a comment". For some reason, the SF people didn't make that look like a button. UI fail, I guess. Given your latest questions, a better discussion forum will be the scintilla-interest mailing list. [Again, posting here because reply bounced.]

"a better discussion forum will be the scintilla-interest mailing
    list."

Where can I find that forum or those people?

Thank you. I will try to get some help from there and then try adding folding myself.
