#58 File Menu Disappeared

On 3/29/2023 when I started SCID vs PC the program came up with no apparent errors, but the file menu bar is missing. The day before it ran just fine. The question is what changed, and the answer is I don't know. Perhaps an update to Pop-OS (I'm running 22.04 LTS).
Things I tried, but failed to fix the problem:
* Reboot
* Reinstall Tcl/tk 8.6.12
* Rebuild and install of SCID vs PC 4.23 from source
* Even tried switching the display manager from X11 to Wayland

Have you had any reports of similar problems or any suggestions of what else I can try to isolate the issue? Screen shot and copy of the startup dialog text is attached.

Right click the main board Tab and deselect hide-menu.
Or "rm -r ~/.scidvspc"

Edit I have corrected the above. There is no space in ~/.scidvspc
