The makefile.vc just needs updating. It is not technical, just a little verbose. https://sourceforge.net/p/scidvspc/tickets/18/ Compare the makefile.conf from that period with one from 4.22 and add the new targets to Makefile.vc Perhaps there is more to it, but maybe not.
