Hi all. I hope it isn't bad etiquette to make a feature request in one's first post. I would really like to be able to specify a cutoff threshold when doing automated game annotation with an engine. So in addition to defining a blunder as a change in score (e.g. of 100 = 1 pawn), I would like to be able to define a cutoff point beyond which the engine no longer comments (e.g. 500 = 5 pawns). In that case a change in score from +2 to +1 would receive a comment, but a change from +10 to +7 or -9 to -6 would not. Of course a change from +6 to -6 should still receive a comment. This is the thing I miss most in Scid compared to commercial programs like Chess Assistant. Right now the auto game annotation is Scid clutters up the game score quite a bit and much of it involves the engine nitpicking over different ways of winning a won position. Anyway, my two cents. Thanks. |
