Hi Andreas > I'd like to use the training feature in the tree window to practice my opening repertoire but the way to activate it seems to be a bit cumbersome. So to be sure I don't make anything wrong I describe the steps how I activate it: > > 1. open a database (as tree) > 2. select the training option in the tree window > 3. start a training game against an engine (?!) > 4. now, in the appearing chess clock window, I have to cancel the game to prevent computer moves (?!) > 5. start practicing > > I don't understand step 3 and 4 but without them, scid vs pc just doesn't answer when I make a move. I think your step 3 is wrong. This is how it works for me - 1. open a database and tree. 2. make sure it is your move, and select the training option in the tree window 3. Make a move - Scid will then play a move from tree. If your move takes out of tree, no move is made. Obviously , this feature is not too polished. Steve |
