Steven can't really object anyone at all packaging it any way they like, provided they conform to its licence. The licence gives that right, and the licence can't be changed without the agreement of all contributors. Packaging for the most popular distroes would, I think, be a good idea. Especially if you can make distro-specific repos so everyone can automatically get the latest release if they so choose. In some cases the distro organisers would probably host it - I'm thinking CentOS, Fedora, Debian and Ubuntu once you made suitable arrangements. Have a chat, though, with the Debian (and any others you can find) maintainers for SCID. They may be happy to do both until the merge is done, and then it will be business as usual for them. -- Santa |
