You're probably using wish (tcl/tk) 8.5.10
, which has a nasty bug affecting many ttk widgets.
Have a look in the About window.

If so, you'll have to install another wish. 8.5.9 and 8.5.11 are fine.

The latest, 8.5.12, also has a silly issue that breaks Scid vs PC 4.7,
but should be affect 4.8.

Hi!
I am using scid as a chess board to reproduce games (reading chess books). I am getting a "segmentation fault" sometimes when I setup a chess position. May be you can reproduce the bug like this:

1) Put in analyses mode (using button bar)2) Do some moves 3) Setup a new position
If you repeat that steps I think that the bug can be reproduced. Scid closes with "Segmentation fault" message.

Do you have any idea about that error?
