Importing games directly from TWIC has been discussed on the Scid mailing list.
It's certainly a handy feature, but IIRC the consensus was that TWIC
does't encourage automated direct downloads, and i suppose we should respect this.

Does anyone have a more informed opinion :) ?

Hmm - maybe. But afaics it's not really an issue.

FICS's examine feature lets you do what you want.
