I'm not exactly sure what you mean here.

It is already possible to make some windows open at start-up via the "Options->Startup" menu, and they *should* all be in the same position. The positions are relative to the main window. Also, the main window asks the window manager to be placed at it's previous location, but perhaps all window managers won't honour this request.

The initial splash window is not managed like the other windows, but it is meant to be a temporary thing anyway. So perhaps this is your request ?

Yes, there is still room for improvement in the tournament window. Using books has not been a priority for me, but it will probably get done one day :>
