I'm trying to print my club games by exporting to Latex. I tried to install the chess package 12 as recommended in the scid website. I was partially successful in that I can see all the piece figurines of the game, but mysteriously enough, the actual text font does not display in the document:

However, when I open the sample game that came with the scid Latex chess package, I can see both, the figurines and the text:

    I'm using Kubuntu 12 and TexMaker 3.2.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Found the solution

The following error messages were being produced when building the document with Texmaker (Linux):

Font T1/ptm/m/n/10=ptmr8t at 10.0pt not loadable: Metric (TFM) file not found

Obviously a font was missing. After searching on Google, I found that I needed to install the "texlive" package.

    sudo apt-get install texlive

Voila! We now have really neat chess game printouts to study that most brilliant opening line that never seems to work.
