Yes, due to popular demand and a total lack of good judgement, we have resurrected the Scid++ project at a somewhat lesser scale and with considerably lesser expectations. We do not expect for this incarnation to be nearly as active in development as was the last. We killed the project for good reason, and we reactivate it only out of sympathy and respect for already existing users. And, incidentally, in no small part because a certain CQL-using niece is particularly adept at laying on a blistering guilt trip.

We define "popular demand" as one or more of the following:

  * a desperate plea from a user to rebase the project to the latest-greatest upstream release (done)
  * a [anticipated] desperate plea from a user for a new CQL search feature accommodating a not yet announced but very cool feature of the next CQL release (done)

We thank our many users for their heart-felt haranguing and not-so-subtle threats. We surely had it coming. We'll try to do better this time.
