double-clicking a game in the database tab should switch immediately to the board tab

at the moment, it seems that the double-clicked game is loaded in the board, but the user has to manually switch to the board tab

I already thought about this feature, but I'm not sure that the users like this. Such a automatically switch can be irritating and disturbing.

    1. Please note the shortcut Alt-B for switching to the board tab.
    2. Possibly it is appropriate to implement a triple mouse click which will switch to the board tab.

I leave this request open a while, hopefully I get some responses.

Arena has an Option for this sort of thing.
Scid vs. PC *does* switch to the main board when loading a game in most cases... but sometimes it can be annoying too.

I agree with Paolo. The user will double-click on something this is because he/she wants to open it.
The problem with the current method is that the user gets no feedback whether the game has been opened. Such a visual feedback would be if a new Board tab would be opened after double-clicking on a game (and the focus could be stayed on the database tab). There is plenty of room in the tab row which is not used.

There is a feedback, the busy cursor.

This does not fit the design of Scidb. Scidb has only one board tab.

I've implemented <Shift>-<Double Click>, which will switch to the board tab. Possibly this is an appropriate variant.

I agree with Paolo and tzg6sa. If a user double-click on something this is because he/she wants to open it.

Ok, I will switch the behavior. Double click will switch to the board window, and Shift-Double-Click will open a game without switching to board window.
