How to turn off exporting top and right axis backbones?

When I create a 2-D graph of a few functions, I can configure the view to show only the left and bottom axes, as you would expect for a 2-D graph. But when I export the graph to a jpeg, png, or even print to a PDF file, SciDavis exports the top and right axes backbones, even though they're not visible when I view the graph in SciDavis. How do I stop this? (I'm pulling my hair out over this one!)

I've tried to hide the top and right axes by unckecing the "Show" checkbox in the General Plot Otions dialog box under the Axis tab.

I've even tried to configure the top and bottom axes to be white in color so they won't be visible, but that doesn't work either.

I'm attaching screen shots of my view in SciDavis and the resulting exported file.

    Thanks

Edit: I'm using SciDavis 1.23.4 on Ubunt 18,04.

I guess this is a bug that is probably related to SFBug #359 (https://sourceforge.net/p/scidavis/scidavis-bugs/359/). The bug was already fixed at upstream.

Thanks. Is the upstream version with the fix available for download?

No, it isn't. I guess that a new version will be reseased soon, but there is no exact date for this.
