one more question :-)
I found the ScidaVis Handbook:
very useful, but we would like to use Scidavis on some PCs which are offline (because of some security needs).
Does any offline version exist? If not I can of course make it with HTTrack of something similar and convert it to downloadable version in OpenOffice (*.odt, *.pdf). Maybe it could be also better for potential manual translators.
There are two offline versions available, a ZIP of the HTML manual (which also contains some additional files with meta information for opening and navigation the manual from within SciDAVis) and a PDF version. Both are available from the "SciDAVis Documentation" section at http://sourceforge.net/projects/scidavis/files/.
Since the published manual is auto-generated from DocBook sources, a translation should be based on those source files; available via SVN[1,2]. The 0.2 directory contains the unpublished draft of the revised manual; for details see a recent thread on scidavis-contributors.
Damn buggy forum. :-/
Since direct link doesn't work, you'll have to go to
and select the thread "Small tutorial in Brazilian Portuguese language" from there.
thanks for comprehensive information :-)
