Hi you all!
I do not know if this is the best place to post about installations errors,
but it is the only place I find to get some help.
I have been trying to install scidavis on linux a many times and I always
get a error in the compilation of the 3rdparty libraries. I know this is
nothing about scidavis, but seems like qwt3dplot is abandoned, and
unfortunately we need this library to build scidavis. If someone wants to
help me, please I will be very glad and will expose the error in the next
message.
Thank you.
Take a look at the spec file or debian.rules file to see how to build
it from source code. Note there are two patch files which probably
correct the problems you are experiencing.
Good luck!

qwtplot3d is built as a package in my OBS repository. If you have one of the supported distros, you can use that:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:hpcoder1/libqwtplot3d-qt5
or for Qt4
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:hpcoder1/qwtplot3d
