In SCID, there is one and only one game that appears on [TheMainWindow].

There is also one and only one position that appears on [TheMainWindow].

The expression "current position" displays the current position that is currently displayed on [TheMainWindow].

This concept is important because SCID provide functionalities that has an effect on it (hence active position):[CopyGamePosition], [SearchCurrentBoard], [AddVariation], and perhaps others.
