SCID's interface is built in the Tcl/Tk scripting language.
Its Tcl files, with the .tcl file extension, are located in /bin/tcl subdirectory.

The SCID code written in Tcl don't require to be compiled to run.
These files are in plain text and can be opened using a text editor.
It is therefore possible to edit all the SCID files using a text editor.
