Hello there, and a big "thank you" for SCID! I'm using it ever since arwagner (Hallo Alex!) showed it to me a long, long time ago. My main use is replaying (annotated!) games, and I would love to use my electronic chess board for that purpose. I have a Chessnut EVO, and Graham O'Neill has fine drivers for that and every other electronic board that there is. Sadly, SCID doesn't make use of it. These drivers can be found on Grahams website and Graham is known to be very helpful with the integration of his drivers:
https://www.goneill.co.nz/chess.php
My workflow for now is: Find games to replay with SCID, export them to PGN, and than use it either with Gerhard Kalabs "Chess PGN Master" directly on the EVO or use LucasChess and have my EVO connected to my Linux PCs. I tried ScidVsPC because there you can use Graham's drivers with a workaround (as analysis engine2), but it does not work for replaying games: In "autoplay" ScidVsPC does not "wait" for user to have his move made on the board.
If you decide to integrate these chessboard drivers, I urge you to think a step further:
I one wants to replay a game on an electronic board, he does so becasue wants to solely focus on the board. For just making the moves, this works absolutey fine, but not for any annotations! Neither LucasChess nor PGN Master gives you any hint that there is an annotation with the move played. So one still has to look at screen with every move. A simple solution to that (rather annoying) flaw would eg. be a (user defined) sound that is played to notify the user that there is annotation with the move made (maybe together with a special large screen for just the annotations (comments) to make things even more distraction free). With a board like my EVO it would be even possible to use the board itself to notify the user of annotations by eg. letting it flash. And in theory, it could also be used to show colored arrows from SCID by coloring the respective fields on the board. To cut a long story shot: When intergrating these drivers, please have a mind to make replaying on electronic boards as distraction free as possible!
Thank you very much!

Kind regards

    bonjour Jochen,
