#228 git clone command is routinely timing out now

The Scid github connection routinely times out now. git clone https://git.code.sf.net/p/scid/code scid-code very commonly returns 'Failed to connect to git.code.sf.net port 443 after 133465 ms: Couldn't connect to server' I am on Cachyos (Arch Linux derivative).
