Hi! I am trying to make sense of the chess clocks when switching sides during a "serious game" and I believe I found a few bugs, which are all likely related. I apologize in advance if this bug report is convoluted.

As I understand it, each clock stays with the player it started with. So, if I'm playing white with 14 minutes remaining on my clock and switch sides (by pressing '.'), I'm now playing black with 14 minutes remaining on my clock. I do not inherit my opponent's clock when switching sides.

Bug 1:
When starting a game, the clocks in the "name labels" above and below the board in the main window are in their correct locations when white starts on the bottom but they're are reversed when starting a new game with black on the bottom. So, when it is white's turn, black's clock appears to be counting down, even though it's tecnichally white's clock.

I tested this by giving white and black different time limits. I also noted the analog clocks in the "coach game" window are correctly positioned when the game starts, ie, when starting with white on bottom, white's analog clock is on bottom and when starting with black on bottom, black's analog clock is on bottom.

Bug 2:
When switching sides during the game, it appears the clock of the player who's turn it is counts down, but it doesn't switch colours. So, if the computer is playing black and it is white's turn to move, white's clock is counting down. Then if sides are switched, the computer is now playing white and it is still white's turn, but it's clock, while still labelled black, is the one counting down now.

Even more confusing is switching when it's the computer's turn to move. The computer will finish it's move before the clock switch happens. This leads to the computer making two moves in a row!

The analog clocks in the "coach game" window do not switch from their starting positions at any point.

Bug 3:
When starting with white on the bottom, the bonus seconds are not added after white's first move. Black receives it's bonus after it's first move. Each player receives it's bonus on every move thereafter.

When starting with black on the bottom, black's starting time has the bonus time added to, ie, with 5 min + 10 sec, black starts with 5:10. White and black receive their bonuses after their first and following moves.

Bug 4:
When the "Coach is watching" option is selected and then switching sides during the game, the "dubious move" dialog appears just before the computer is about to make it's move. If "yes" is answered to take back the move, the computer will go through the thinking process of making it's move again. This occurs even before the first move of the game is made, ie, start with white on the bottom, then switch sides immediately.

Again, I apologize if this is doesn't make a lot sense, please message me if any clarification is needed,
Ryan

    The actual behavior is strange.
My opinion: Flippin the board on a serious game should do display upside down but nothing else. In a serious game should the time and the right to move not switch!
Training Game: The clocks are not flipped in a training game. I think flipping the sides should also flip the clock. This should be fixed.

my opinion about serious game may be to hard. Switching sides should switch the time (and time controls also). It make no sense to have a setup white: 10m+12s and black(engine):1min+1sec and then the player has the short time control of the engine after the switch.
